Trailer Legacy

Trailer Legacy explores the many realities of life in Ethiopia through a series of focused short films. Each story begins with research and scripting, then follows people and places with a documentary eye.

“Rasta” follows two musician brothers from Seychelles to the Rastafari community in Shashamane, where they talk about life, love and belief. “Nejashi” visits the historic mosque and burial place associated with the first Muslim migration to Abyssinia in Tigray.

“Mother,” filmed in Agula, portrays the sacrifices and resilience of mothers in northern Ethiopia. “Life” follows two women who walk long distances to collect and carry firewood, revealing the physical weight of a traditional livelihood.
