Discovering Ethiopia

Born in Addis Ababa, Abduselam yearned to move beyond the capital and encounter the vast landscapes and cultural depth of his homeland. With a camera in hand, he began traveling throughout Ethiopia, documenting scenery, traditions and inspiring personal stories.

The journey moved from dense cities to quiet countryside, across mountain ranges, forests and lakes. It revealed resilience and hope—particularly in young people striving for education and opportunity.

Across the years, Abduselam has traveled through every season of Ethiopia’s thirteen-month calendar, visited its major cities and explored UNESCO-recognized destinations. The resulting archive is both a declaration of love and an evolving record of change.
