The exhibition
Experience the captivating beauty and cultural richness of Ethiopia through photographs by Abduselam Ademnur, a visual storyteller who captures the essence of this ancient land.
Presented at Addis Foto Fest 2016 at the Sheraton Addis Hotel, the exhibition placed Abduselam’s work alongside photographers from Ethiopia and around the world. The festival offered a platform for the diversity and artistry of contemporary photography.
02
Contributing to the community
Abduselam took part in workshops, lectures and panel discussions throughout the festival, contributing to the ongoing conversation around photography in Ethiopia and encouraging others to explore their own creative practice.
03
Beyond Addis
The exhibited images were selected from earlier journeys across Ethiopia. From the streets of Addis Ababa to the Danakil Depression, they form an archive of cultural heritage, changing landscapes and resilient people.
Beyond their visual appeal, the photographs also serve as social observations—inviting viewers to reflect on poverty, environmental change and inequality while appreciating the complexity of everyday life.
