01
A journey through the lens
“This Is What I See: Come and See What I See” is a photo book by Ethiopian artist Abduselam Ademnur. The collection moves from breathtaking landscapes and vibrant cultural scenes to intimate portraits and candid moments.
Every photograph is accompanied by a narrative. Personal stories and observations turn the book into more than a visual record: it becomes an invitation to connect with Ethiopia’s people, traditions and ways of life.

Tomorrow will be better than today
In Dire Dawa, a young woman works alone inside a tiny, intensely hot kitchen. She prepares, cooks and serves for a line of waiting customers. The heat, burns and cuts are the price of a tomorrow she is determined to make brighter than today.

The languages inside the deep forest
In Arba Minch, a deep forest shelters more than forty bird species and many wild animals. Trees hold fast to the mountain while clouds hover near its peak. The calls of monkeys, birds and unseen animals form a language of their own.
